Project overview
The Strategic Results Analysis (SRA) project will provide schools and colleges with an online reporting platform that allows them to analyse school exam results and student performance in their exams (and other forms of assessment during their courses).
The project needs to:
Replace existing reporting platforms for UK and International markets which are no longer fit for purpose.
Provide reporting to reflect the changed nature of schools, with the rise of multi-academy trusts and commercial groups of schools where visibility of results data across the group is a current major gap in our offering to our customers.
Additional information
The project has to date completed development of a prototype to validate a proposed technology choice, and to gather feedback from customers on reporting designs/approaches. We are now moving into a significant phase of detailed business analysis to enable work to begin on the first phase (Horizon 1) of development of the strategic solution.
There are other Business Analysts allocated to the project so this resource will be working as part of a team led by one of our Principal Business Analysts.

The work for this assignment will cover:

Delivery analysis for the SRA project, focusing on the priority requirements for the Horizon 1 development.
- Detailed functional, non-functional and data requirement elicitation in the form of EPICS, user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Working with the project’s Data Analyst, Data Architect, Solution Architect and UX designer to ensure requirements are appropriately linked into data artefacts and wireframe designs.
- Attend sprint meetings and ceremonies, contributing to the refinement of user stories.
- Supporting with ad-hoc queries from development team relating to requirements elicited.
